Starters

Soupe de Topinambour à l’essence de truffe (vegetarian)    Cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup with truffle essence          Allergens: milk, celery this dish is gluten-free

 

Millefeuille de légumes, duxelle de champignons         Vegan rainbow layercake with button mushrooms, olive oil, potatoes, carrot, spinach, parsley, chervil, tarragon, chives.  this dish is gluten-free

 

Bouchée à la Reine Melt in the mouth puff pastry with lamb sweetbreads, chicken breast, button mushrooms, light creamy sauce  milk, gluten, celery

Main courses  

Dinde de Nöel Traditional Roast Turkey with all the trimmings.
Succulent roast turkey served with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, brussels sprouts, Pant-y-Gwydr cranberry sauce, bread sauce and chestnut stuffing (wheat-free) and a pig-in- blanket, gravy Allergens: celery, milk.
this dish is gluten-free if served without a pig in blanket and bread sauce

 

Filet de bar, beurre blanc, julienne de poireaux, pomme duchesse 

Grilled fillet of sea bass with a classic beurre blanc and white wine sauce, a julienne of leeks and duchess potato                          

Allergens: fish, milk, sulphites this dish is gluten-free

 

Navarin d’agneau Navarin of Welsh lamb, slow-cooked in white wine with a pretty decoration of carrot, courgette, celery, turnip, potato   Allergens: celery, sulphites this dish is gluten-free and milk-free

 

Vegan Couscous  a fragrant and gently spicy dish from Algeria Couscous semoule (gluten), miso paste (soya), olive oil, onions, leeks, celery, carrots, courgettes, fennel, turnips, tomatoes, chick peas, bouquet garni, sage, Provence herbs, ras-el-hanout, harissa, fresh coriander with Vegan Tofu Croquette tofu (soya), seitan (gluten), chia seeds, gram flour, yeast, fenugreek seeds, cumin, Provence herbs    soya, gluten, celery

Desserts

‘Aveline’  (v)  hazelnut dessert with hazelnut confection, hazelnut ice cream, milk chocolate, praline crème anglaise  Allergens: nuts, milk, eggs, trace of soya 

 

“La Dame Blanche” vegan vanilla ice cream, vegan chocolate sauce, grilled flaked almonds      Allergens:soya, nuts

 

Le Citron (v)  Three miniature lemon desserts - cream of lemon and meringue, "demi-citron" with mascarpone, lemon sorbet. 

Allergens: milk, eggs

 

A selection of three French unpasteurised cheeses – served with Pant-y-Gwydr apple and pear jelly and biscuits Allergens: wheat, barley, rye, milk

ORDERS – we request a deposit of £10 per person for Christmas bookings and payment of the balance at the time the order is placed (14 days before the booking date)

 

This menu has been devised for group bookings – if less than 8 guests choose the Turkey option then we will replace the Turkey with an organic roast chicken breast (served with all the trimmings)

We will be open for lunch on Mother's Day - Sunday 30 March 2025

We are currently taking bookings for lunch on Christmas Day 2025!

The restaurant is open for private bookings on Sundays if you have a party of 15 people or more ADVANCE RESERVATION IS REQUESTED

Open for dinner on Tuesdays from 6pm (doors close 11pm)

Open from Wednesday to Saturday for lunch (12pm-3pm) and dinner (6pm-11pm)

Please note that if you are booking for a party of more than ten guests we will request advance menu choices and advance payment. If you are celebrating a birthday, we are only too happy to place a candle in one of our themed desserts - we kindly request that you do not bring birthday cakes to the restaurant.
